Does it matter what size tile I want to use?
I have grout that is cracking around the shower wall tiles. What can be done to fix it?

I have vinyl flooring on my kitchen floor. Can you tile over that or does it need to be removed?

Q: Does it matter what size tile I want to use?

A: No, you can use whatever size you wish. Although you may want to consider the size of the space you want tiled. For example, a larger tile makes a small space feel larger and bigger space look more updated and dramatic.

Q: I have grout that is cracking around the shower wall tiles. What can be done to fix it?

A: If the shower tiles and walls are in good shape we can do what is called a tile re-grout. What we do there is we use a special tool called a dremel and clean out the old grout and install new grout. This process not only gives you new grout , the grout as it is being installed cleans the tiles itself and once it is wiped off the tiles have renewed luster and shine!

Q: Can you go over my existing tile that is already down on my kitchen floor?

A: If the tile is in good shape that is possible. The best way to get a definite answer is to have a professional installer look at the space first.

Q: Where should we buy our tile?

A. You can purchase tile from a home center like Home Depot or Lowe’s. You may also want to consider going to a tile store as the selection is much larger and they have trained sales staff that can answer any questions.

Q: I want to have tile installed on my kitchen backsplash that is presently Formica. Can you tile over that?

A. In most cases yes. They have tile cements that adhere well to Formica material . If the Formica is cracked or peeling then you might want to have it removed or use a special tile backing material that can be used successfully when installing tile.

Q: I have vinyl flooring on my kitchen floor. Can you tile over that or does it need to be removed?

A: If the flooring is in good shape, meaning witout a lot of cracks or damage and it is not vinyl square flooring, then most likely the tile could go right over the vinyl. There are tile cements that are available to be used to adhere to this type of surface.
